Our Story
From a house renovation, I noticed something that would change my life and the lives of others forever and redefine charity and donations.

In June of 2023, the upper two levels of my house underwent renovations, forcing my family and me to temporarily move into the basement. To accommodate room for our furniture and essentials, we had to reorganize the space, which was primarily used as a storage room before. From this, I noticed an issue I never paid attention to or cared about earlier — the basement was full of old toys from when I was a kid, idle and sitting there collecting dust.
I knew I would not be playing with them anymore, and at the same time, I recognized how wasteful it would be to simply throw it all away. As a result, a thought arose:
If I don’t need it anymore, why not give it to someone who does?
This thought changed the rest of my life.
Instead of Option A: playing with them again, or Option B: throwing everything away, I chose Option C: creating a charity that redistributes idle goods and donates them to people who can use it. I discovered something special — sometimes second-hand can be more precious and hold more value. When one good is gifted from one person to another, it brings the stories with it to the next and new stories are created.
Acting on this thought, I proposed this idea along with the idea of creating a charity to my parents. They were extremely delighted and supportive about my initiative and they helped me establish Your Footprints.
